The purpose of mold springs is to remove and press materials. The strength of the spring is related to whether the mold production is smooth and whether the produced products are qualified. If the spring force is too small, it may cause various problems such as product deformation, mold detachment, difficulty in removing the product from the mold, material carryover, and easy wear of the cutting edge and punch.

Mold springs are selected according to different production times, and the larger the compression amount, the shorter the spring life and the shorter the mold life. Of course, if the spring is damaged, it can be replaced, but the specifications of each spring are different and have been determined during design. Springs should not be easily replaced with each other during use. After a period of mold production, the spring may lose its strength, and springs with lower quality may even break inside the mold.
Generally, the compression of the mold spring is calculated based on 300000 cycles, which means that the spring may lose its strength after 300000 cycles. Of course, the service life of general stamping molds is not that long, and it can also be calculated based on the maximum compression. If calculated based on the maximum compression, it can only ensure that the spring does not explode inside the mold. Pressing the mold harder is also beneficial for the flatness of the product.
